The Uganda Markets and Allied Employees Union (UMAEU) has also launched the Shared Warehousing Project, a groundbreaking initiative designed to revolutionize the way market vendors store and preserve their fresh produce. This project will establish cold room storage facilities in each of the markets housing UMAEU member vendors, providing a common user facility where vendors can safely store their perishable goods.
